Havsnäs Wind Farm, Sweden

In the last few days, a very large stainless steel structure was spotted on the roads around Washington, Tyne & Wear.

Enspec’s latest delivery of 33kV reactive power compensation is on its way to Havsnäs Wind Farm in Sweden, a site under construction by RES, using Vestas turbines.

When completed, Havsnäs will be the largest on-shore wind farm in Sweden and is located not too far from the Arctic Circle.

Special designs and technologies were required to accommodate the extreme weather conditions.
